Our mission: lightweight SEO for small sites
Most SEO software is built for agencies and enterprise teams. It is powerful, but it is also expensive, slow to learn and full of reports that a small website owner will never need.
LiteScroll.com exists for everyone else. Our mission is simple: give bloggers, freelancers and small businesses a fast, honest way to see what is holding their pages back, and explain the fix in language anyone can follow.
We focus on the fundamentals that search engines rely on every day: clear page titles, useful meta descriptions, a sensible heading structure, descriptive image alt text, correct canonical tags and pages that can actually be indexed. Get those right and you have a solid base for everything else.
What we build
LiteScroll is a small family of tools that work together. Each one does a specific job well, without dashboards you need a training course to understand.
Where the tools live: the LiteScroll SEO Crawler, the SEO Inspector download and the Pro SEO Audit request form run on our main tools site, litescroll.com. This site, LiteScroll.com guides at litescrolls.com, is where the LiteScroll Editorial Team publishes tutorials, checklists and SEO guides that explain every issue the tools find.
SEO Crawler
A browser-based crawler that scans up to 25 pages of any website for free. It flags titles, meta descriptions, H1s, alt tags, canonicals and indexability, with PDF or CSV reports. Try the SEO Crawler
SEO Inspector
A free Google Chrome extension for page-level checks while you browse. View metadata, review schema markup, check keywords and copy a page's heading structure. Get the SEO Inspector
Pro SEO Audit
A manual, premium review for sites that need more: larger crawls, a deeper look at problems and prioritised recommendations. Request a Pro SEO Audit
The free tools cover the everyday checks. When a site outgrows them, the Pro SEO Audit adds human judgement to the data.
Who LiteScroll is for
We design every tool and guide with a specific kind of person in mind: someone who runs a website alongside other work and wants clear answers quickly.
- Bloggers and content creators who want to check new posts before and after publishing.
- Small business owners who manage their own site and need to know what to fix first.
- Freelancers and web designers who want a quick health check before handing a site to a client.
- Beginners learning SEO who prefer practical examples to jargon.
If your site has hundreds of thousands of URLs, enterprise crawlers will serve you better. If it has a few dozen pages that you care about, LiteScroll.com is built for you.
How we create our guides
Our articles are written by the LiteScroll Editorial Team. Every guide starts with a real question that site owners ask, such as why a page is not indexed or how to fix a duplicate title.
We test our advice with our own tools. Before we recommend a fix, we check it with the LiteScroll SEO Crawler and the SEO Inspector, and we cross-check details against official documentation from Google Search Central, schema.org and web.dev.
You can read the full process, including how we handle corrections and AI assistance, in our Editorial Policy. Our guides are organised by topic:
- Technical SEO — crawling, indexing, canonicals and robots rules.
- On-Page SEO — titles, meta descriptions, headings and alt text.
- Schema Markup — JSON-LD explained with working examples.
- SEO Audits — checklists and how to read a crawl report.
- SEO Tools and the Blog — walkthroughs, comparisons and routines.
What we value
Clarity over complexity
A report is only useful if you can act on it. We explain what each issue means, why it matters and what to do next, in short and direct sentences.
Honesty about results
No tool can guarantee rankings, and we will never claim otherwise. We show you what we find and leave out the hype.
Speed and simplicity
Our tools run in your browser and give you results in minutes. You should not have to install heavy software to check a page title.
Respect for your data
We collect only what we need to run the tools and answer your messages. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what that means.
