These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of LiteScroll.com, including the LiteScroll SEO Crawler, the LiteScroll SEO Inspector Chrome extension, our guides and any related services ("the Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
1. Using our tools
LiteScroll provides free SEO tools to help you review websites. The SEO Crawler scans up to 25 pages of a website for free and produces reports you can download as PDF or CSV. The SEO Inspector is a free Chrome extension for page-level checks.
You may use the tools for personal and commercial purposes, including reviewing client websites, as long as you follow these Terms. We may change, limit or discontinue any feature at any time, with or without notice.
Some features may have usage limits to keep the Services fast and fair for everyone. You agree not to try to get around those limits.
2. Acceptable use
You are responsible for how you use the Services. In particular, you agree that you will:
- Only analyse websites you are permitted to analyse — your own sites, client sites you have permission to review, or public pages where crawling is allowed.
- Not use the tools for abusive crawling, such as sending excessive requests, attempting to overload a server or ignoring a site owner's reasonable restrictions.
- Not use automated scripts, bots or multiple accounts to submit large numbers of crawls or bypass limits.
- Not attempt to access non-public areas, login-protected pages or data you have no right to see.
- Not interfere with, reverse engineer or disrupt the Services or the servers that run them, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Not use the Services for anything unlawful, harmful or misleading.
We may suspend or block access for anyone who breaks these rules, without notice.
3. No guarantee of rankings or results
Search engines decide rankings using their own systems, which change often and are not public. Our tools and guides help you find and fix common issues, but we do not guarantee any ranking, traffic, indexing or revenue outcome.
Reports are generated automatically from the data available at the time of the scan. They may not catch every issue and may occasionally flag something that is not a problem. Always use your own judgement before making changes to a live website, and keep backups.
4. Our guides and content
Our articles are written for educational purposes by the LiteScroll Editorial Team. We work hard to keep them accurate and current, as explained in our Editorial Policy, but they are not professional advice for your specific situation. See our Disclaimer for more detail.
5. Intellectual property
The LiteScroll name, logo, website design, software, tools and written content are owned by LiteScroll or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.
You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back to the original article. You may not copy, republish, sell or redistribute our content or software in full without written permission.
Reports generated by our tools for your website are yours to use, including sharing them with your team or clients.
6. Pro SEO Audits
The Pro SEO Audit is a manual, premium service. Its scope, timeline, deliverables and fees are agreed separately with you before any work begins. Where that separate agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement applies to the audit.
7. Third-party services and links
The Services may rely on or link to third-party services, such as Google Chrome for the extension. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites, content or availability.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information, including URLs submitted to the SEO Crawler and messages sent through our contact form.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiteScroll will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for any loss of profits, revenue, rankings, traffic or data arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for the free Services is limited to the amount you paid us to use them, which for free tools is zero. Liability for a Pro SEO Audit is set out in its separate agreement.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for claims arising from your misuse of the Services, including analysing websites without permission or breaking these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. If you continue to use the Services after changes are published, you accept the updated Terms.
